  1. Kyanjin Gompa: Located at an altitude of 3,870 meters (12,697 feet), Kyanjin Gompa is a Buddhist monastery and village in the Langtang Valley. It offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and is a great place to immerse yourself in the local Tibetan-influenced culture.
  2. Langtang Valley: The Langtang Valley itself is a highlight of the region. Trekking through this picturesque valley rewards you with breathtaking mountain vistas, lush forests, meandering rivers, and encounters with the friendly local Tamang community.
  3. Gosaikunda Lake: Gosaikunda is a sacred lake situated at an elevation of 4,380 meters (14,370 feet). The pristine turquoise waters and the surrounding snowy peaks create a serene and spiritual atmosphere. It is a popular pilgrimage site, especially during the Janai Purnima festival in August.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

    1. Start your journey from Kathmandu and drive to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the trek. The drive takes approximately 7-8 hours, passing through picturesque countryside and small towns.
    2. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and spend the night at a guesthouse in Syabrubesi.
  • Day 2: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

    1. Begin your trek from Syabrubesi and follow the Langtang Khola (river) upstream.
    2. Trek through lush forests, terraced fields, and traditional Tamang villages.
    3. Cross suspension bridges and ascend gradually until you reach Lama Hotel, where you'll spend the night.
  • Day 3: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village

    1. Continue trekking along the Langtang Khola, passing through beautiful rhododendron and bamboo forests.
    2. Ascend through a valley, enjoying views of snow-capped peaks and the Langtang Lirung glacier.
    3. Arrive at Langtang Village, a traditional Tamang settlement, and spend the night there.
  • Day 4: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa

    1. Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa, the main highlight of the trek.
