At dawn, we’ll drive you to Tribhuvan Airport for a scenic 30-minute flight to Lukla, landing at the famous Tenzing Hillary Airport. After meeting our crew and having breakfast, we’ll embark on our trek to Phakding. The trail takes us through stunning landscapes, crossing suspension bridges over the Thado Koshi River and passing through small Buddhist villages like Ghat before reaching Phakding. Overnight at a guesthouse.
After breakfast, we continue trekking along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. Passing through Monjo, we enter Sagarmatha National Park and begin a steep ascent towards Namche Bazaar. The climb can be challenging, but the stunning views of Everest and surrounding peaks make it worthwhile. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche.
To adapt to the altitude, we’ll take an acclimatization hike to Khunde and Khumjung villages, as well as the Everest View Hotel, which offers panoramic mountain views, including Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Along the way, we’ll explore ancient monasteries, mani walls, and gompas, while enjoying breathtaking scenery. After sightseeing, we’ll return to Namche for the night.
Our journey continues with a descent towards the Dudh Koshi River, followed by a climb through lush pine forests, where we may spot Himalayan wildlife like musk deer and pheasants. After crossing a suspension bridge, we ascend towards Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the region. Overnight at a guesthouse.
We wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam. After breakfast, we begin our descent back to Namche, passing through serene forests and Sherpa villages. Along the way, we’ll enjoy panoramic mountain views and visit local chortens and prayer flag-adorned trails. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche.
Our final trekking day takes us back to Lukla. The trail descends through rhododendron forests and past charming mountain villages. We’ll cross the Dudh Koshi River multiple times before making the final ascent to Lukla, where we’ll celebrate the completion of our Everest Panorama Trek with a farewell dinner. After breakfast, we take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you can explore the city, visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites, or simply relax. Our experienced guides will be available for any additional sightseeing you may wish to do.
We will have our accommodation during the Everest Panorama Trek mainly in the comfortable teahouses and lodges run by the Sherpa families. The rooms of those teahouses will be simple and comfortable. The services are typically shared with the twin-shared bedrooms and shared bathrooms. The dining area will also be in a common hall with the heating system on. Some lodges in Lukla and Namche Bazaar provide upgraded facilities like attached bathrooms, hot showers, and uninterrupted internet facilities for our comfort.
