This makes your trip easier, faster, and more comfortable from the start.
From Lukla, you walk through several Sherpa villages, and after completing the trek, every night you will stay in a single private room with attached bathrooms. You can get free facilities of hot showers, WIFI, and charging while staying in the luxury rooms of the tea house. Every room will have a warm electric blanket to beat the cold Himalaya night.
You can choose as many food items as you want from the menu. Additionally, there will also be hot water, bottled water, and a variety of drinks like tea, coffee, and soft drinks.
Our skilled staff will assist you to reach your dream spot, the Everest Base Camp, safely. You will also love the beautiful view of the sunrise from Kala Patthar, when the first light of the day shines on Mount Everest and the peaks around it. You can see the beautiful mountain landscapes, the local Sherpa culture, peaceful monasteries, the glaciers, the rivers, and the special high-altitude way of life in the Khumbu region while you hike through.
You will end your journey of Everest Base Camp in Gorakshep with a luxurious helicopter ride back to Kathmandu. Your trip ends in style instead of having to walk for days. This saves you time and gives you one last, unforgettable look at the beautiful Everest region from the air.
There aren’t many luxury lodges in the Everest region, so during peak trekking season( spring and autumn), you need to book the Luxury Everest Base Camp trek package in advance. Peaceful Nepal will arrange for you the finest luxury hotels and lodges so that your trip to Everest remains absolutely special.
On this 12 Days Everest base Camp luxury trek, you will explore and visit the world’s best iconic destinations such as:
This is it—the best part of your hike. It feels amazing to be at Everest Base Camp (for trekkers, the real base camp is a temporary tent city for climbers). You’ll be surrounded by the beautiful Khumbu Icefall, tall peaks like Nuptse, Lhotse, and Pumori, and the bright, colorful tents of teams getting ready for their Everest Expedition. Standing here is a great achievement and shows your proof of strength.
Kala Patthar, which is just above Gorak Shep, has some of the best and most famous views of Mount Everest. People often come here to see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. From this point of view, you can take amazing pictures of the world’s highest peak, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the whole Khumbu valley.
Your trip begins with a memorable mountain heli flight into Lukla, frequently regarded as one of the most thrilling airport landings in the world. This popular Sherpa town is the official beginning point of your trek. You can feel the excitement and anticipation in the air as you get off the plane and into the fresh Himalayan air.
Namche Bazaar is a popular market town which is located on the hills of the mountainside. It is known as the “Gateway to Everest.” This important acclimatization stop is a center of Sherpa culture, with a unique mix of old-fashioned ways of life and modern conveniences. Check out its various stores, bakeries, and cafes. On clear days, from here you can see the first view of Everest and Ama Dablam.
Tengboche Monastery is the biggest and most important Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region. It’s situated on a mountaintop with stunning views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other big mountains in the Himalayas. You can engage with monks, listen to their beautiful chants, and see the fascinating architecture and peaceful environment in this holy place.
On your Everest base camp luxury trip, you’ll pass through beautiful, traditional Sherpa settlements like Phakding, Dingboche, and Lobuche. Meeting friendly local people, enjoying warm hospitality, local foods, and seeing the unique traditions and village lifestyle is full of fun.
Everyone loves to walk in nature. In this trek, you will walk alongside the Dudh Koshi River, through lush rhododendron and pine forests, and a suspension bridge, which will refresh your mind. Watching various species of birds and wildlife adds to the beauty of your journey.
Watching the beautiful Himalayan glacier and the Himalayan landscape inside the Sagarmatha National Park is awe-inspiring. You will see the beauty of huge glaciers like the Khumbu Glacier, and travel through amazing rock formations, surrounded by the majestic Himalayan ranges at every turn.
Trekking for the EBC is possible all year round, but due to the best weather conditions, comfortable trekking temperature, and best view due to clear sky, people mostly love to trek during the months of Spring (March, April, May)and Autumn(September, October, November) seasons.
Spring and autumn are the peak trekking season for the EBC trek so that you can expect a huge crowd in the trekking trails, tea houses, and viewpoints on Everest. The number of luxury rooms in the Everest region is limited, so if you want to travel in peak season, you must book the luxury EBC trek at least 3 months in advance.
Winter(December, January, February) and Summer/monsoon(June, July, August) seasons are off-season for the EBC trek. You can expect very few tourists this season due to the difficult weather conditions. In winter, due to poor visibility, the chances of flight cancellation are high, and due to poor visibility, the distant view of the beautiful peak is not possible. Whereas in the monsoon, the rain makes the trail path muddy and slippery. Also, due to the risk of landslides and floods, trekkers often avoid trekking in off off-season.
Even after staying in the finest lodge with premium service, the Luxury Everest base camp trek is still challenging. Luxury removes the inconvenience of the mountain, but it cannot but it can’t change how hard it is to climb. Let’s see the challenging factors that you need to face on this Everest Base Camp trek:
Altitude Affect: The main enemy of the Everest Base Camp trip is altitude, and it doesn’t care how much money you have. At 18,000 feet, the air has the same amount of oxygen (21%) as it does at sea level. However, the pressure in the atmosphere is much lower, so the oxygen that your lungs can use is cut in half compared to what you breathe at home. Due to this reason, some trekkers might get Insomnia and Headaches, which are the early symptoms of Altitude Sickness(AMS).
Digestive Chaos: Even if you eat a five-star meal in a luxury hotel, some trekkers’ bodies may still struggle to adjust. When your system cannot digest food properly, it can lead to appetite loss, nausea, and general discomfort.
Relentless Physical Exertion: Although the porters will carry your main luggage, which will lighten your load, trekking for 5-7 hours every day is all about you. Walking in uphill, downhill, rocky, uneven, and icy terrain is not easy. It makes the trekker exhausted, especially if you don’t have good physical fitness.
The Unpredictable Environment: The Khumbu region climate and weather conditions are really unpredictable. Even trekking in the best season, sometimes due to bad weather conditions, you need to deal with strong winds and cold. Heavy snowfall can make the trail icy and slippery. Also due to exposure to intense UV radiation and trail dust leads to chapped lips, sunburn, and the inevitable “Khumbu cough”.
When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), a Peaceful Nepal representative will meet you and take you to a 5-star hotel in the center of Kathmandu. Get comfortable and enjoy the best service.
Early in the morning, our Sherpa guide will be there at your hotel to receive you for the Helicopter flight. Our porters will help you to load your luggage in our private vehicle, and then you will ride towards the Tribhuvan International Domestic terminal. You will complete the check-in process and take a luxury ride to Lukla airport. The heli duration will be around 40 minutes. From your window seat, you can see the best aerial views of the eastern Himalayas.
After you land at the Lukla airport and check out, you will take a short tea break before starting your first trek. Then you will start trekking with our team. You will walk along the Dush Koshi river valley, forest areas, and the Sherpa Village. Walking for around 3-4 hours, you will reach Phakding and stay in the premium lodge.
Note: Helicopters have strict weight limit restrictions - 500 kg total for 5 passengers, including individual body weight.
After having a delicious breakfast, now it's time for you to leave Phakding. Today's trek will be around 5–6 hours. Trekking along the Dudh Koshi River, lush pine and rhododendron forests, and several small Sherpa villages like Chumoa, you will arrive at Monjo. Your trekking permit will be checked here, and after this, you will officially enter the Sagarmatha National Park.
Walking on beautiful landscapes with views of peaks like Thamserku and Kwangde, you will cross the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. This long suspension bridge was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. It's a great place to take photos. After crossing this bridge, walking for a few more hours, you will reach Namche Bazar. Then you will check into a luxury lodge with a private room. In the evening, you can visit cafes, restaurants, spas, or enjoy evening views.
Today will be your rest in Namche Bazar because acclimatisation is necessary when you are at an altitude of around 3,440 m. It will help you to adapt to the high altitude environment and minimize the effects of altitude sickness. On this day, make sure to take enough rest, sleep well, and monitor your health.
We will not take a full rest; instead, we will go for a short hike today. You can choose the option:
1. Hike to Everest View Hotel (3880 meters): The Everest View Hotel is located at an altitude of 3,880m. The hike is moderate, and it takes around 3 to 4 hours for a round trip. You can enjoy the luxury breakfast with the best panoramic view of major Himalayan peaks, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
2. Visit Khumjung and Khunde Villages: These two villages are located just above Namche Bazar. In Khumjung, you can explore the Hillary School and the Khumjung Monastery. In Khunde, you can see the famous "Yeti scalp," and a small hospital which is run by Sir Edmund Hillary's foundation.
3. Syangboche Airstrip (3,780 meters): This STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) airport was built for small seater planes. Currently, there is no commercial flight at this airport, but helicopters do land here for emergencies and to transport goods.
On this fifth day of the Luxury Everest base camp trek, after breakfast in the morning, you will prepare to leave for Deboche village. The initial walk will be easy due to the flat trail. You will pass small shops, bakeries, and prayer flags along the way. After the trails open, you can see the first clear view of Everest( on clear days). Then continue your trek through a pine forest and reach Kyanjuma. It's a perfect place to view Ama Dablam and the Tengboche Monastery, which is located on top of the hill.
Then, from here, you will descend slowly to Phungi Thanga. It is a small village located beside the river. You will take a short break here while enjoying hot tea/coffee. Then, after the break, you cross a long Phunki Tenga Suspension Bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. Then, ascending through rhododendron and pine forest, walking for a further 2–3 hours, you will reach Tengboche (3,867m).
You will visit the famous Tengboche Monastery. Enjoy the view from the monastery. Then walk a short downhill of about 20–30 minutes to reach the Deboche village. You will check into the tea house and spend a peaceful night here.
After having breakfast in the tea house, you will start your trek toward the high-altitude valley. First, you will walk through a rhododendron and birch forest. Then cross a small bridge and follow a gentle path that leads toward Pangboche. If you wish, our guide will take you to visit the Old Pangboche Monastery.
From Pangboche, the scenery starts to change to dry and alpine. The trail becomes open and windy. We will continue walking towards Shomare for tea or lunch. After Shomare, you walk past Orsho towards the trail junction that leads to Dingboche. Slowly climbing, you will reach deeper into the Imja Valley. On the right side, you will see a beautiful mountain-Ama Dablam, waiting for you to capture in your camera.
Further walking for a few hours, you will reach Dingboche, which is also known as “Summer Valley” of the Khumbu region. Today you will stay at an altitude of 4,410 meters in the Dingboche tea house.
Today is another acclimatisation day, as you are already at a great height in the Khumbu region. If you use a pulse oximeter, you can experience a drop in oxygen saturation (SpO2) due to a high altitude location. This is the reason it is important to have a rest day to give your body enough time to adjust to the high altitude.
Today you will go for a short hike. Your option includes:
After spending a wonderful time in the Lobuche and adjusting our bodies for higher altitudes, it's time for you to reach Lobuche. As you walk, the landscape becomes more open and dry due to the high-Himalayan environment. After a few hours, you will reach Thukla (Dhukla) for a short rest and lunch.
From Thukla, the trail becomes steeper as you climb the Thukla Pass, one of the most emotional and memorable sections of the Everest region. Here you can see the memorial site built in honor of climbing heroes who died during their journey to the Himalayan Peak.
Getting emotional here, now it's time for you to reach Lobuche. On the route to Lobuche, you will enjoy the incredible mountain views, including Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, and parts of the Khumbu Glacier.
After you arrive in Lobuche, you will spend the night in the cozy lodges.
Finally, today is the day you will stand at the base camp of the world's highest peak in the world. Waking early in the morning, trekking for 2-3 hours following the edge of the Khumbu Glacier in a rocky trail, you will reach Gorak Shep.
Then you will enjoy your breakfast and rest for a short time. Then we will head toward the Everest base camp (5,364 m). Walking on a rocky and windy trail, you will arrive at the base camp. You can see many trekkers and climbers here by taking pictures and videos.
From the base camp, you can enjoy the incredible views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks. You will also celebrate with your team by taking lots of pictures and videos for memories. After spending a good time here, we will return to the Gorak Shep to spend our night.
Early in the morning, wearing headlamps, we will visit the Kala Patthar- a vantage point to enjoy the close view of Mt. Everest. Remember, you cannot see Everest from the base camp, so it's important to visit this iconic destination. From the Kala Patthar, you will see the golden sunrise view over Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and other peaks. After enjoying the views, you will walk back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. Then you will go to Gorak Shep helipad and take a heli ride back to Kathmandu with the last view of the Everest region.
Once you land at the Kathmandu airport, our pre-arranged private vehicle will take you to the hotel.
Today is all about you. You can spend your time either resting in the hotel, exploring UNESCO Heritage Sites, or doing last-minute shopping for souvenirs and local crafts.
Today, you will say goodbye to Nepal and return to your home country. Our representative will be there to pick you up for the flight. You need to arrive at the airport at least 2-3 hours before your departure to complete check-in and security procedures.
At Kathmandu: Peaceful Nepal will book you into a 5-star hotel while you stay in Kathmandu. You can also choose the hotel as per your choice, but it should be inside Kathmandu near the Thamel area. These luxury hotels will offer private suites and excellent service.

Yes, absolutely beginner trekkers can easily join this luxury Everest Base Camp trek package. Trekking won’t be hard due to the helicopter flight involved, as it will reduce the time and energy that you need to spend trekking. Beginner trekkers must be physical fit and must be able to walk for 5-6 hours. If you can’t walk much but still want to reach the Everest base camp, then you have another option: Horseback Riding Trek to Everest Base Camp. If you have very limited time, then you can also join a 1 Day Everest base camp helicopter tour.
Peaceful Nepal will take care of almost everything to make your Luxury Everest base camp trek successful, but here are some of the important things that you need to prepare by yourself:
Master the Multi-Day Grind: Trekking is not about Marathon races. It is about endurance and recovery. Focus on walking for a long period of time, like 3-4 hours continuously. The EBC trail is uphill and downhill, so your legs must be strong enough to deal with these terrain conditions. For this, you can do activities like walking on stairs, light rope exercises, squat, hiking, treadmill walking, etc.
Strengthen Your Core and Breathing: A Strong core helps you to walk on uneven trails, reduces fatigue, and supports your back during long walking hours. Also, learning breathing techniques for high-altitude walks is very important. To develop core and breathing, you can do this exercise like planks, light core workouts, deep breathing, and slow controlled inhale–exhale routines.
Buying the best gear: For a tough walk on Everest, you need to have the best trekking boots. Get boots that are of high quality, water-resistant, and can deal with snow, sleet, or river crossings. Also invest in high-quality Down Jackets, and pack multi-layer clothing items.
Medical Consultation and Medication Mastery: Your guide will carry a medical kit and portable oxygen bottle, but if you have any underlying health conditions, you must seek medical advice first. Check your health conditions and tell about the trek program, and carry necessary personal medication if necessary.
The Psychological Commitment: For some trekkers, boredom, homesickness, and minor discomfort give trouble. So you need to be mentally strong and focus on your dream of reaching the EBC. Learn a few Nepali phrases such as Namaste( Hello), Kana Khayo( Did you eat), K Xa ( how are you), so that will help you to interact with locals and make trips adventurous and fun.
