The Manaslu and Annapurna Circuits, regarded as the most famous trekking routes in Nepal, offer a fantastic combination of nature and culture and are the best places for a memorable experience. Travellers who want to explore both places, we have brought a 23-day Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit trek Package for you.
The Manaslu Circuit Trek circles Mount Manaslu (8,163m), the 8th-highest mountain in the world. Manaslu routes take you through the unspoilt Manaslu Conservation Area, pristine forests, cascading waterfalls and the sacred Himalayan salt pan at Larkya La Pass. Explore the enigmatic village of Sama, a sacred Buddhist monastery, and the opportunity to spot rare wildlife such as snow leopards and musk deer. The path, which is less busy than Annapurna, offers peace and breathtaking mountain panoramas.
Then you will continue your journey toward the world-famous trekking destination: the Annapurna Circuit trek. Rich in landscape diversity, the Annapurna Circuit offers the best scenery, including subtropical jungles and mountain deserts. You will stand at one of the world’s highest mountain passes- Throng La Pass situated at an altitude of 5416 m. Also, the Gurung and Magar cultures and warm hospitality at local villages can be experienced during the trek.
Both these treks will reward you with breathtaking panoramic views of the mountain peaks, beautiful landscape and jaw-dropping views of the Himalayan range. Additionally, while returning from the Annapurna Circuit, you will visit the Muktinath temple and spend a wonderful time in Pokhara lakeside.
Combining the Annapurna and Manaslu Circuits is a dream journey for many trekking enthusiasts. Only a limited number of people have done this, and it can be the best choice for those seeking challenges and a wonderful time in the Nepalese Himalayas.
The Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit Trek will be the perfect choice for active adults, and experienced trekkers can handle long hours of hiking in the mountains. No expertise in trekking is required, though a little prior experience in high-altitude trekking will be useful. Moderate fitness and good stamina are significant, as you will walk for 6-7 hours a day over mixed terrain, including uphill trails, rocky routes, and mountainous terrain.
It is an extended joint journey that links the Manaslu Circuit and the Annapurna Circuit. Traveling can be very tiring and tedious, as the trek takes approximately 23 days to complete. Although it is challenging, the prize is a full Himalayan adventure with various scenery, mountain ranges, and local culture.
Participants should be 18 years or older. There is no strict upper age limit if you are healthy, active, and comfortable with long trekking days. This is a combined journey suitable for individual travelers, experienced trekkers, and other small groups seeking a complete adventure in Nepal. For those with a low level of fitness, this trek is unbearable, and shorter ones are preferable in this case.
In case you have any pre-existing medical issues, particularly heart or breathing-related issues, then you should consult your physician before taking part in this high-altitude trek. This combined Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit trek will be a memorable and safe Himalayan adventure, but only with proper training, preparation, and a positive mindset.

| Winter | December – February | Very cold with snow at higher altitudes | Fewer trekkers, quiet trails. Suitable for experienced trekkers only. | ⚠️ Possible but Challenging |
The Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit Treks, combined, are among the most challenging yet rewarding treks in Nepal. The entire journey will be around 350km (217 miles), and it will take about 23 days to complete if everything goes as planned. You need to cross high mountain passes such as Larkya La (5,160 m) and Thorung La (5,416m), and remain at an altitude above 4,000 m for several days.
For this reason, the risk of altitude sickness remains high on this trek. If you develop altitude sickness, you need to leave the trek by descending to a lower altitude without risking your life.
This is a physically demanding journey that requires strong fitness, psychological endurance, and an effective acclimatization plan to prevent altitude sickness. The combined Annapurna and Manaslu Circuit trek route features steep ascents, winding trails, and unpredictable mountain weather. Therefore, this trek is not suitable for first-time or beginner trekkers without prior trekking experience.
For experienced trekkers, this trip offers spectacular views of Himalayan giants such as Manaslu (8,163m), Annapurna South (7,219m), and Dhaulagiri (8,167m). It is a memorable journey for people who want to experience the real Himalayan presence and who dare to accept the challenge.

Once you reach Sama Gaon, you will notice that the village has traditional stone houses, monasteries, and a strong Tibetan Buddhist culture. Tonight you will spend the night in the Sama Gaon tea house.
Today is acclimatisation day at Sama Gaon. This day is necessary to help your body adjust to a higher altitude and reduce the effects of altitude. It helps your body recover, prevents AMS, and prepares you for the upcoming days. You can either rest at the tea house or take a short hike to Birendra Lake.
Leaving Samdo after breakfast, you will head toward the Samdo village. Following the Budhi Gandagi River passing through yak pastures, mani walls, and seasonal herders, you will reach the Samdo. To date, there is no Wi-Fi, and the mobile network is also poor in this village. It is the best place to enjoy nature's beauty while disconnecting from modern devices.
Today is one of the most challenging days of this trek as you have to cross the Larkya La Trek. Also, the trek is long so that we will start early in the morning. Tonight you will spend time in this beautiful Upper Pisang village at a tea house.
Today, after breakfast in Upper Pisang, you will head toward Manang via the beautiful village of Nawal. Today's walk will be longer, so prepare for a long hike and follow acclimatisation tips. To prevent altitude sickness, we will follow the climb high, sleep low technique. When you are on the Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit trek, you will stay in the basic tea house. This tea house provides facilities including a room with communicable dining, a bathroom, Wi-Fi, Charging, a hot shower, and meals.
We will book the room for you, and inside you will find a twin-sharing bed with a blanket, pillow cover, and mattress. This room is basic, but it will provide comfort while staying during the trek. At a lower altitude, you can even find a single room with an attached bathroom, but at a high altitude, there will be only a shared room.
Also, you need to share the washroom among the trekkers. Mostly, you will find squat-type washrooms with running water and no other amenities, as you find in hotels. So make sure to bring your own hand wash, toilet paper and hand sanitiser to maintain hygiene during the trek.
While staying at the tea house, we will arrange your meals. They will serve you food in the dining area. You can choose the food from the menu. Food in the tea house will normally be Nepali dishes and a few international dishes. If you are a vegetarian, you can also find vegetarian food. At high altitudes, tea houses are prepared with basic food items.
Let’s see the common tea house menu you can expect during the trek:
Breakfast
Lunch and Dinner
Snacks and Drinks
Note: Usually snacks and drinks are not included in the trekking package. So we request to manage the budget for it.
Wi-Fi: There is good coverage of the wifi network at the lower altitude but at high altitude the wifi can be slow and spotty. Most tea houses charge for Wifi around USD 1-3 per day.
Charging: Trekkers can find a paid charging station in the tea house. They will charge you around USD 1-3 per hour. So it’s best to carry the powerbank with you for backup.
Hot Showers: Hot shower facilities are available at the tea house only in a limited place. You will find either hot water from solar or they will provide you with a bucket full of hot water. For this you need to pay the price of around USD 1-3 per use.
Tap Water: On the trekking trails, you might find the tap water or stream water. Never consume this tap or stream water unless you boil it or use a water purification tablet to purify it.
Bottled Water: Buying the water bottle from a local shop or tea house might be the best option for you. This bottled water is safe for drinking. At lower altitudes, they will charge you around NPR 20-50, but at higher altitudes, they might charge you up to 200 per 1 litre bottle.
Hot water: If you ask for the hot water from the tea house, they will provide it to you. You can refill your water bottle and enjoy drinking during the trek. They will also charge you around USD 1.
Start: From the hotel, we will transfer you to the starting point of the trail, and we will arrange a private vehicle for you.
Returning: While you return after completion of the trek, we will book a ticket on a local bus or tourist bus.
Departure: We also arrange private transportation to transfer you to the airport as per your scheduled flight on the last day, as mentioned in the itinerary.
For this journey to succeed, we should carefully prepare before heading out. Here are some expert tips that you can use to prepare yourself:
Altitude sickness can trouble trekkers when they reach high altitudes due to low levels of oxygen in the air. Due to this reason, some trekkers find difficulty in breathing and experience mild sickness or headache. This is the early sign of altitude sickness(AMS). If these symptoms are not treated early, they can lead to HACE or HAPE, which are the advanced forms of AMS. This advance of AMS is deadly when not treated in time. So we need to be careful during the first stage of AMS.
