Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

    Welcome to Nepal at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. One of our representatives will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the assigned hotel. After having a check-in, you will receive a detailed briefing about the trek by the guide and other staff. We will have the last preparation of the trek by shopping on Thamel Street. You will be handed your permits and documents by the evening. We will have a restful night before we have a thrilling start to the trek.

  • Day 2: Drive Kathmandu to Bhandar via Jiri (2,200 m) – 7/8 hrs drive

    The trek officially starts today after the early morning breakfast. We will board a private vehicle for a scenic, long drive through the winding roads of hills, terraced fields, and charming hilly villages. We will pass through the town named “Jiri,” which used to serve as the major gateway for Everest, long before the Lukla airport was built. We will reach Bhandar, a scenic town surrounded by farmlands and forests. We will have a restful night at Bhandar’s lodge.

  • Day 3: Bhandar to Sete (2,575 m) – 6/7 hrs trek

    Our trek begins today with a descent path through the terraced fields and traditional settlements before we cross the suspension bridge nearby. The trail will lead us ascending through the forests of vibrant oak and rhododendron. The route will also offer a few glimpses and crossings of the Rai and Sherpa settlements. We will have several ascents and descents today till we reach Sete. Sete, a quaint settlement, is renowned for its stunning mountain ridges and warm hospitality. Overnight in Sete.

  • Day 4: Sete to Junbesi (2,670 m) – 6/7 hrs trek

    We will cross the challenging and rewarding path as we trek through the dense rhododendron and pine forests along the way. The major highlight today is that we will cross Lamjura La Pass, which is the highest point between Junbesi and Jiri. At 3530m, this pass will provide us with a much-needed altitude gain and natural acclimatization. We will arrive at Junbesi by the evening, which is a picturesque Sherpa village known for its warm hospitality and culture.

  • Day 5: Rest Day in Junbesi with Day Hike to Idingma (2,810 m) – 4/5 hrs

    We will spend a rest day for acclimatization and cultural exploration at Junbesi. Junbesi provides a serene and warm cultural immersion with better opportunities to engage with the locals. We will also hike towards the nearby village called Idingma. This short height will provide us with the adaptation to altitude while discovering the rural and undisrupted Sherpa life and traditional farming practices. We will get back to Junbesi for the overnight.

  • Day 6: Junbesi to Nunthala (2,220 m) – 6 hrs trek

    We will have a steep descent through the forests and the Ringmo River. Later in the day, it will gradually climb towards the short Pass crossing of Takshindu La Pass. We will get rewarded with the mesmerising scenes of panoramic Himalayan views. We will then descend past the historic and one of the most important religious sites for the locals, Takshindu Monastery, before we reach a charming settlement named Nunthala. Overnight at Nunthala

  • Day 7: Nunthala to Bupsa (2,360 m) – 5/6 hrs trek

    We ‘ll bridges en route start with a descent toward the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension . The trail will then climb gradually through the forests of pine and rhododendron while we pass through the villages of Rai and the Sherpa community. We will greet and receive the warm hospitality of the locals along the way. After completing the steady ascent, we will reach a small settlement of Buspa, where we will enjoy the hilltop views and have a restful night in a teahouse.

  • Day 8: Bupsa to Chheplung (2,700 m) – 5/6 hrs trek

    While we leave Buspa, we will have the trail winding uphill through the thick forests with the sound of birds and monkeys. We will get to see fellow trekkers walking down from Lukla along the route. The trail will gradually merge with the well-known Everest Base Camp route. We will stop at Chheplung for our overnight stay. Chheplung is a peaceful stop as compared to Phakding or Monjo.

  • Day 9: Chheplung to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) – 5/6 hrs trek

    Today’s trek follows the Dudh Koshi Riverbed, passing through Phakding and Monjo. We will cross several iconic suspension bridges with the prayer flags fluttering. The final steep to Namche will be steep but rewarding at the same time. We will pass the famous suspension bridge named, Hillary Bridge. We will also have our first glances at the iconic Mt. Everest and Lhotse. We will be greeted warmly by the prayer flags and cultural vibrancy of Namche. Overnight in a teahouse in Namche.

  • Day 10: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

    To properly adapt to the altitude gain and explore the town, we will spend a rest day in Namche Bazaar. We will also have an option like Hotel Everest View to gain a bit more altitude. Hotel Everest View is one of the highest hotels in the world at 3880m. The destination is famous for the most famous panoramic visuals of Everest and neighbouring peaks like Ama Dablam. We will get back to Namche and explore the town rest of the day.

  • Day 11: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870 m) – 5/6 hrs trek

    The route starts with a descent to the Dudh Koshi River, followed by a challenging climb to Tengboche. The trail today will offer some of the best views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Lhotse. This beautiful village is very famous for Tengboche Monastery, which is also the spiritual heart of the Khumbu region. On a clear day, Tengboche Monastery will provide the most spectacular views of Ama Dablam as a backdrop. Overnight will be in Tengboche.

  • Day 12: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m) – 5/6 hrs trek

    We will take our footsteps to a descent through the rhododendron forests and cross the Imja Khola. We will steadily pass through Pangboche Village, and the rhododendron forests will slowly transition into the alpine shrubs. The views will get better while we are along the way, as the trail becomes more rugged and windswept. Finally, by the evening, we reach Dingboche, which is a windswept village and is known as the “summer valley” of the Khumbu region. Overnight in Dingboche.

  • Day 13: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940 m) – 2/4 hrs trek

    Today, we will have a shorter day as we will gain a lot of altitude in a short period of time. The trail steadily climbs towards the climbers’ memorial in Thukla. We will pay homage to those restful soul and their bravery. Today we will have a challenging ascent. The views of the towering peaks like Pumori and Nuptse will dominate the horizon. Though today’s section is short in distance, the higher elevation may cause a slow pace and require proper acclimatization.

  • Day 14: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) – 7/8 hrs trek

    This is a major highlight and an important day for us. From Lobuche, we’ll trek throug. h stark alpine terrain to reach Gorak Shep, the final settlement. After having lunch and spending a rest, we will ascend on rocky terrain and glacial moraine to reach the triumphant grandeur of Everest Base Camp. The atmosphere will leave us in awe as if it were our dream. We will spend a few magical moments here and descend back to Gorak Shep.

  • Day 15: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) and Pheriche (4,280 m) – 7/8 hrs trek

    We will wake up early in the morning and hike towards the Kala Patthar viewpoint for the most iconic views of Everest and the neighbouring giants. This is one of the most unforgettable moments of the trek, as we will have the glorious moments and the views. After soaking in the breathtaking panorama, we’ll return to Gorak Shep for breakfast before descending to Pheriche. The descent will feel lighter, with the air growing noticeably thicker. Overnight in Pheriche.

  • Days 16: Pheriche to Tengboche and Khumjung (3,780 m) – 5/6 hrs trek

    ,today we will retrace the steps back through Pangboche and Tengboche before we head towards the village of Khumjung. Khumjung is a traditional Sherpa village that holds history and is famous for its monastery, which is said to have a relic believed to be a Yeti scalp. This village also reflects the legacy of Sir Edmund Hillary, as the village is the host of the Hillary School. We will be surrounded by the green pastures and Himalayan peaks. Overnight in Khumjung.

  • Day 17: Khumjung to Lukla (2,800 m) – 7/8 hrs trek

    Our day will be long as we re-route ourselves along the Dudh Koshi valley. While passing through Namche Bazaar and Phakding, we will be retracing the familiar route of suspension bridges and pine forests. Our feet will feel the thrill of the final ascent before reaching Lukla. This will be the best time to reflect on our journey with accomplishment filling every step. Overnight in Lukla.

  • Day 18: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,400 m)

    We are taking an exhilarating flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla today. We will also have the final afar views of the Himalayas while being in the air. Upon arrival, we will be transferred back to the hotel. The rest of the day is a free day and is for relaxing and enjoying the urban amenities. We will have a success party later in the evening with authentic Nepali cuisine.

  • Days 19: Departure Day

    Your journey to Nepal came to an end with Peaceful Nepal Treks. Depending on your flight time, you may have time for shopping for souvenirs if you still have not. Our representative will see you off at Tribhuvan International Airport with a warm farewell and best wishes for your journey. Meals on the Everest Base Camp trek from Jiri will be served in cozy, simple teahouses. The basic staples along the trail will be Dal bhat, noodles, soups, momos, etc. You may also find staples like pizza, pasta, and burgers in the major stops like Namche Bazaar and Lukla.
